Florida Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Accountant who will ensure accurate financial reporting and manage core accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or SAP
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred; public accounting or audit experience valued
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles to complex transactions
• Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
