Florida Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support the finance team, the remote Senior Accountant will manage month-end close processes, prepare account reconciliations, and assist with audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciliations accurately and timely
• Prepare schedules for public company filings and gather documentation for internal and external audits
• Implement and document accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and company procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in both public and corporate settings
• Up-to-date knowledge of current GAAP accounting standards
• Experience working with external auditors
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups
