Job Summary
Seeking a Florida Licensed Senior Electrical Engineer for a fully remote, contract-to-hire position focused on overseeing and executing designs for protection and control systems in medium to high-voltage substations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and review designs for protection and control systems for substations (15kV-500kV)
- Develop detailed design packages including diagrams, schematics, and construction documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight on multiple projects to ensure quality and timely delivery
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8+ years of experience in substation protection and controls design
- Proficiency in developing and reviewing various electrical diagrams and schematics
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and NESC
