Florida Licensed Specialty Pharmacist

Job Summary

To support the greater Tampa, Florida area, the full-time Florida Licensed Specialty Pharmacist will manage relationships with physicians and practices, facilitate the prescribing of specialty pharmaceuticals, and assist patients with their medication needs in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish communication with specialty practices and arrange meetings with key stakeholders
• Process prescriptions, including insurance adjudication and prior authorization management
• Act as a financial advocate for patients, leveraging available resources to ensure access to medications

Required qualifications

• PharmD degree strongly preferred
• Current unrestricted pharmacist license in Florida
• 5+ years of experience in community, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy, with specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with pharmacy dispensing systems
• Comfortable working with complex disease states and clinical data
