Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sterile Processing Tech II.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire sterilization process, including cleaning, decontamination, packaging, and distribution of surgical instruments
• Utilize knowledge of microbiology and infection control to determine optimal processing methods for patient care instrumentation
• Participate in the orientation of new team members and ensure compliance with infection control procedures

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Completion status in the SPD Readiness Course or nationally certified through HSPA or CBSPD
• Maintain required continuing education units (CEUs) as per certifying body
• Minimum of one year of experience in sterile processing or nine months with certification or completion of SPD Readiness Course
