Job Summary

To support surgical teams, the full-time Florida Licensed Sterile Processing Tech will manage the sterilization process, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with infection control standards while working onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical staff to assess and troubleshoot surgical instrumentation for trauma and tertiary care procedures
• Oversees daily record keeping and monitoring related to sterilization processes, ensuring high standards of infection control
• Leads the sterile processing team in the absence of management and participates in the orientation of new team members

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sterile processing
• National certification through HSPA or CBSPD
• Maintains required continuing education units (CEUs) as per certifying body standards
