Florida Licensed Tax Consultant

Job Summary

Managing a diverse, multi-jurisdictional client portfolio, the full-time Florida Licensed Tax Consultant will engage with clients at all levels to resolve payroll tax issues, maintain compliance, and deliver proactive updates in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, ensuring timely completion of actionable items and providing ongoing status updates
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by leading tax discussions and translating complex tax matters into understandable information
• Register and maintain state and local payroll tax accounts while supporting mergers and acquisitions through proper account management

Required qualifications:

• 4+ years of payroll tax compliance experience, including registrations, notice resolution, and audits
• Strong understanding of state and local payroll tax rules and filing calendars
• Client-facing experience with HR and executive leadership
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines with strong organizational skills
• Experience with payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG) and state payroll tax agency portals
