Job Summary

To support patient care operations, the full-time Florida Licensed Transporter will efficiently transport patients, equipment, and lab specimens throughout the hospital while ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient transport of patients, assessing the best methods for transport
• Communicates vital patient information to appropriate team members and maintains transportation equipment
• Demonstrates outstanding customer service and complies with hospital policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
• Must obtain BLS/HealthCare Provider certification within 90 days of hire
• Six months of customer service or volunteer experience preferred
• Capable of accessing and using department-related computer systems, including Epic programs
• Must complete required mandatory educational training
