Florida Licensed Triage Nurse

Job Summary

To provide individualized care and clinical guidance to oncology patients, the full-time Florida Licensed Triage Nurse will triage patient calls, manage complex symptom management, and facilitate communication among the multidisciplinary care team in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging oncology patient calls regarding treatment, surgery, and appointment information
• Managing high-risk patient care to minimize emergency department visits and inpatient readmissions
• Providing ongoing education and resources to patients and caregivers while maintaining professional boundaries

Required qualifications

• Registered Nurse multistate or Florida single state licensure required
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Three or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years in oncology
• Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
• Strong telephonic assessment and communication skills
