Job Summary
As a Florida Licensed Trial Attorney, the full-time remote position will manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, while providing counsel to business clients and coordinating with legal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including assessments, discovery, and courtroom advocacy
- Gather and organize evidence, conduct legal research, and prepare legal documents for hearings and trials
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, providing updates to the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar
- Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage legal documents and understand the discovery process
- Experience in interviewing clients and witnesses, along with maintaining communication records
- Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct standards
