Job Summary

Coordinating the servicing of new and renewal accounts, the full-time Florida Licensed Underwriting Assistant will underwrite renewal business, explain coverages to clients, and support underwriting operations in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal business with minimal supervision and escalate exceptions as needed
• Provide day-to-day guidance to underwriting clerks and policy typists for accurate processing
• Review policies and manage account documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education is required
• State-specific insurance license is required
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting concepts and rating fundamentals
• Proficiency with underwriting and policy administration automation tools
