Key responsibilities
- Handle large volumes of time-sensitive transaction files using experience and judgment
- Utilize underwriting standards to underwrite title insurance and support real estate settlement services
- Provide counsel and authorization to personnel and clients regarding title insurance commitments and policies
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor and active member of a State Bar
- 10+ years of experience as Commercial Underwriting Counsel
- Knowledge of the title insurance industry and commercial insurance coverage
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software systems
