Florida Licensed Utilization Review Coordinator

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and organized, the full-time remote Florida Licensed Utilization Review Coordinator will manage a caseload of active authorizations, conduct daily communications with insurance companies for behavioral health treatment authorizations, and apply knowledge of substance use disorder and behavioral health levels of care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily phone contact with insurance companies to secure authorizations for treatment
• Manage a caseload of active authorizations, tracking timelines closely to ensure timely patient care
• Utilize systems such as KIPU and Availity to document and track review activities

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Less than one year of relevant experience required; training will be provided
• Familiarity with substance use disorder and behavioral health levels of care is a strong plus
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria and medical necessity standards is a plus
• Reliable home internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace for remote work
