Florida Licensed Veterinary Hospice Nurse

Job Summary

Supporting a dedicated team, the full-time Florida Licensed Veterinary Hospice Nurse will monitor hospice cases, assist veterinarians with patient care, and provide resources to families in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage an average of 10 hospice cases daily, ensuring timely follow-ups and quality care
• Act as a point of contact for families and veterinarians, addressing questions and concerns regarding hospice care
• Authorize prescription refills and assist in developing educational content for families

Required qualifications

• Certification in veterinary care (CVT, LVT, RVT, or equivalent) is required
• A minimum of 3 years of client care experience is necessary
• Familiarity with senior and terminally ill hospice cases is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent follow-up skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision
