Job Summary
To support a temporary assignment, the full-time Florida Licensed Workers' Compensation Adjuster will adjudicate complex indemnity claims remotely, ensuring accurate investigation and resolution while managing claims in litigation and reporting on trends.
Key responsibilities
- Adjudicate workers' compensation claims of higher technical complexity with direct impact on departmental results
- Investigate claims thoroughly and manage claims in litigation, ensuring timely resolution and proper claim reserves
- Prepare reports and communicate effectively with senior management and underwriters regarding claims trends and developments
Required qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in Florida jurisdiction
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience with insurance designations
- Current Florida license required; additional licenses in AR, GA, MI, NC, or SC are a plus
- Strong claim negotiation skills and excellent business acumen in insurance operations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and effective time management skills
