FOIA Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a FOIA Analyst to provide expert-level support on Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cradle-to-grave processing of FOIA and Privacy Act requests while ensuring compliance with regulations
• Process and close backlogged FOIA requests to support departmental backlog reduction goals
• Provide support on FOIA-related litigation and contribute to process improvement efforts

Required Qualifications and Education

• One year of experience applying FOIA and Privacy Act laws or three years as a paralegal with related document analysis
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Five years of experience interpreting FOIA and Privacy Act laws, regulations, and procedures
• Two years of experience using FOIA processing or eDiscovery automation tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro
