Foreclosure Specialist

Job Summary

Managing the foreclosure process for an assigned portfolio of mortgage loans, the full-time remote Foreclosure Specialist will ensure timely completion of foreclosures in accordance with investor guidelines while providing administrative support throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the foreclosure action from referral to post-foreclosure, addressing issues and ensuring compliance with investor deadlines
• Communicate with foreclosure attorneys to resolve contested actions and title issues, minimizing delays in the foreclosure process
• Generate reports and provide necessary status updates to investors, ensuring documentation is prepared for audits and compliance

Required qualifications

• A combined 3 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in Default Servicing
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
• Experience in Collections, REO, or Loss Mitigation preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend legal documents related to foreclosure
• Strong analytical skills and a motivated, team-oriented attitude
