Job Summary
To support the NIST's Forensic Science Research Program, the full-time remote Forensic Research Scientist will provide technical and programmatic support, facilitating process mapping, conducting audits, and developing presentations to enhance national forensic science standards.
Key responsibilities
- Providing data visualization and facilitation support for virtual process map working group meetings across forensic disciplines
- Drafting and editing presentations, and delivering findings at professional meetings
- Maintaining project status and documenting process steps in published standards and best practices
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in a field related to forensic science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a forensic science-related field
- Knowledge of research in forensic science and specialized experience in the field
- Record of noteworthy publications or contributions to forensic sciences
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and at least one process mapping tool (MS Visio or LucidChart)
