Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely with occasional hybrid opportunities, the full-time Founding Forward Deployed Engineer will engage with strategic customers to ensure successful adoption of cloud cost management solutions, focusing on implementation, architecture, and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand their cloud environments and cost-management goals, serving as a trusted technical advisor
• Design and implement scalable cost allocation and tagging strategies across complex multi-cloud environments
• Support technical onboarding for complex accounts and debug data ingestion and reporting issues in collaboration with internal teams

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as Solutions Architect or Technical Consultant
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data stacks
• Experience working with cost data, billing exports, and large datasets
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for analysis and automation
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
