Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely as a long-term independent contractor, the full-time Forward Deployed Engineer will engage directly with clients to design, build, and implement production AI systems, focusing on data infrastructure and delivering ETL/ELT pipelines for AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data infrastructure for AI-powered applications
• Write evaluation suites and guardrails to ensure quality, safety, and performance of deployed systems
• Develop production-grade applications on modern LLMs and run rapid prototyping sprints with clients

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 1 year in AI/ML or LLM-based production
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Java
• Hands-on experience with modern LLM APIs and data engineering tools like dbt, Airflow, or Snowflake
• Solid understanding of RAG patterns and experience with vector stores
• Proficiency in one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with containerized services
