Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise customers, the full-time remote Forward Deployed Engineer will design and ship production RAG systems, manage retrieval evaluation, and lead a distributed team while embedding with customer engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement production RAG systems, including chunking strategies and query rewriting
• Own end-to-end retrieval evaluation, defining golden sets and building evaluation pipelines to drive quality improvements
• Technically lead a distributed team, mentoring engineers and ensuring customer outcomes are met

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 2 years in shipping production RAG systems at scale
• Strong proficiency in Python and production experience on at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to establish trust in customer-facing roles, particularly in architecture reviews
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing customer relationships effectively
