Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Building the technical foundation for a new vertical, the full-time Forward Deployed Engineer will partner with the GM and early customers to define technical needs, create reusable infrastructure, and lead customer engagements, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the GM and customers to define technical requirements and build the first MVP of reusable patterns and tooling
• Lead customer engagements from technical scoping through delivery and post-launch support, ensuring robust code solutions
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify which patterns should evolve into core platform capabilities

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience, including roles as a founding engineer or technical lead in ambiguous environments
• Strong engineering generalist instincts with backend and data orientation
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Ability to create structure in undefined situations and make architectural decisions
• Experience running technical scoping conversations with customers and translating them into execution plans
