Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on resolving customer onboarding challenges, the full-time salaried Forward Deployed Engineer will diagnose and fix integration issues across various platforms, ensuring operators are live and minimizing churn, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end onboarding process for blocked customers, diagnosing and resolving sync and mapping failures
• Dive into live customer issues, identifying root causes and deploying fixes across the technology stack
• Collaborate with engineering to provide insights from field experiences, driving durable fixes and reducing recurring onboarding failures

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in backend coding (Python, Go, Node.js/TypeScript) and understanding of APIs and data models
• Experience with third-party API integrations, including handling divergent data models and webhook behaviors
• Hands-on experience in diagnosing and fixing issues in live distributed systems
• Ability to maintain composure while interfacing directly with frustrated customers and effectively unblocking them
• Experience in vacation rental, PMS, or similar multi-system integration domains is valued
