Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Embedding with client teams, the independent contractor Forward Deployed Engineer will transform complex business processes into agentic AI workflows, balancing discovery and hands-on engineering while potentially transitioning to full-time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to shadow operators and map real-world processes
• Break down complex business processes into automated workflows and design decision logic
• Build production-grade workflows and integrations with various operational systems

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and multi-step workflows beyond the prototype stage
• Strong integration skills with REST APIs, webhooks, and databases
• Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of SQL and data systems
• Real client-facing skills to engage with non-technical stakeholders effectively
