Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Forward Deployed Engineer will collaborate with customer engineering teams to design and implement real-time communication and voice AI applications on the LiveKit platform, while troubleshooting complex technical issues and contributing to product development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable architectures for real-time applications in collaboration with customer engineering teams
• Build prototype integrations and reference implementations to accelerate customer development
• Debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments while leading technical workshops

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to understand complex systems and debug issues in real-world environments
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with customer and internal teams
