Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Leading complex forward-deployed engagements, the full-time remote Forward Deployed Engineer will architect custom systems across AI, forecasting, and optimization while serving as a trusted technical advisor to senior customer stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex forward-deployed engagements from discovery through production adoption
• Architect custom systems across AI, forecasting, optimization, simulation, and decision-support workflows
• Design application patterns that connect Maybern's platform to customer-specific logic, data, and operating processes

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or forward-deployed technical work with significant ownership
• Strong record of leading ambiguous, customer-facing technical initiatives
• Deep strength in Python, SQL, system design, and analytical application architecture
• Strong applied AI or ML experience with attention to evaluation and reliability
• Deep quantitative reasoning across modeling, inference, optimization, and decision systems
