Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely as a full-time Forward Deployed Engineer, the successful candidate will collaborate with customer engineering teams to design, implement, and scale real-time communication and voice AI applications on the LiveKit platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable architectures for voice AI and real-time media applications
• Build prototype integrations and reference implementations to accelerate customer development
• Debug complex technical issues in production environments and lead technical workshops with customers

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with customer and internal teams
• Ability to quickly understand and debug complex systems in real-world environments
