Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Forward Deployed Engineer will collaborate with customer engineering teams to design and implement real-time communication and voice AI applications on the LiveKit platform, while also troubleshooting complex technical issues and contributing to the development of scalable architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time applications in partnership with customer engineering teams
• Build prototype integrations and reference implementations to support customer development
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues in production environments while leading technical workshops

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering
• Proficient in programming languages such as Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with customer and internal teams
• Ability to quickly understand and debug complex systems in real-world environments
