Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

To support the expansion of data partnerships, the full-time Forward Deployed Engineer will engage with external partners to understand their technical needs, facilitate API integrations, and develop solutions that enhance the utilization of Beacon's data platform, all while working remotely or from office hubs in Boston, New York City, or Paris.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with external partners to translate their data needs into effective solutions using Beacon's Datastore
• Lead technical discussions with partner engineers to support API integrations and data access practices
• Design and implement customer solutions, improving internal tools and workflows for better client data issue resolution

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in developing and supporting data platform solutions with hands-on coding
• 3+ years in a customer-facing role, managing relationships and solving data-related problems
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical or operational data models
• Proficiency in a data-oriented programming language such as Python, Julia, or R
• Familiarity with APIs and data integration patterns, along with experience using modern analytics and BI tools
