Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
As a full-time remote Forward Deployed Engineer, the successful candidate will build, configure, test, and deploy AI voice agents for healthcare customers, ensuring seamless integration with EHR and scheduling systems while translating workflow designs into production-grade configurations.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for athenahealth and ModMed platform integrations
- Design and implement bi-directional workflows directly against native PMS/EHR endpoints for scheduling and patient verification
- Write lightweight Python/TypeScript connectors and manage end-to-end technical onboarding during customer pilots
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant industry
- Prior experience in healthcare technology with knowledge of EHR/PM platforms and HIPAA compliance
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based agent development and voice-specific technical concepts
- Familiarity with IntelePeer SmartFlow, Genesys, Amazon Connect, or similar platforms
- Background in contributing to engineering standards, testing frameworks, and documentation templates
