Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Forward Deployed Engineer will engage with district IT teams to understand their systems and workflows, build integrations and custom solutions, and ensure successful production outcomes for Edia's products in K-12 education.
Key responsibilities
- Embed with districts to analyze and integrate their systems, turning customer needs into technical designs and implementation plans
- Build and operate integrations with various district systems, implementing REST API integrations and extending Edia's products with custom workflows
- Debug production issues and build testing and recovery mechanisms, ensuring accountability through the go-live process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field
- 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong programming fundamentals with experience in building production backend services and data integrations
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and debugging across application code and third-party systems
- Ability to design and implement systems while maintaining accountability for their production behavior
