Forward Deployed Engineering Director

Job Summary

Leading a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, the full-time salaried Forward Deployed Engineering Director will oversee the design, development, and deployment of defense solutions and AI applications, ensuring delivery excellence while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams, primarily in a remote capacity with a preference for Dallas, TX.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage service delivery of product implementation and AI-powered solutions, ensuring integration across platforms
• Lead customer engagements from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing optimization
• Provide people leadership for technical teams, including performance management and career development

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing software delivery or technical delivery programs within enterprise environments
• 2+ years of people or technical leadership experience managing engineers or technical teams
• 3-5 years of hands-on software development or solution engineering experience with technical leadership responsibilities
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks
