Forward Deployed Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the remote Forward Deployed Engineering Manager will manage enterprise engagements, drive regional performance targets, and ensure delivery excellence while mentoring engineers in technical solutions and AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive regional performance targets including billable utilization, team growth, and hiring while ensuring customer success
• Lead high-stakes enterprise engagements by collaborating with Account Executives and Engagement Managers on transformational programs
• Establish best practices for project oversight, risk management, and quality standards within the Forward Deployed Engineering and AI Engineering practice

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of people leadership experience managing technical delivery teams or professional services organizations
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a technical solutions architect or data/AI engineer
• Proven success in leading large-scale data platform migrations and AI/ML programs in enterprise environments
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills, particularly in high-stakes customer environments
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, MLflow, Delta Lake, or the modern data and AI ecosystem
