Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Job Summary

To accelerate AI transformation within engineering teams, the remote Forward Deployed Software Engineer will embed with product development teams to diagnose software development practices, deliver AI-powered tooling, and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with engineering teams to observe and map their software development lifecycle, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement
• Design, prototype, and deploy AI tooling to address identified friction points in workflows
• Act as a technical evangelist, conducting workshops and training sessions to build AI fluency across engineering teams

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including roles in architecture or technical leadership
• Direct experience integrating AI/LLM tooling into engineering workflows
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to analyze and improve software development processes
• Proven ability to drive process or tooling change across engineering teams
• Experience with enterprise-scale developer tooling or platform engineering is a plus
