Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Job Summary

To accelerate AI transformation within engineering teams, the remote Forward Deployed Software Engineer will embed with product development teams to diagnose software development practices and deliver AI-powered tooling and process improvements while managing both engineering and change management tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with engineering teams to observe and map their software development lifecycle, identifying bottlenecks and inconsistencies
• Design, prototype, and deploy AI tooling that addresses identified friction points in development processes
• Act as a technical evangelist and trainer, conducting workshops to build AI fluency across engineering teams

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including roles in architecture or technical leadership
• Demonstrated ability to design and build production-grade software across the full stack
• Direct experience integrating AI/LLM tooling into engineering workflows
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to analyze and improve a team's software development lifecycle
• Experience driving process or tooling change across engineering teams through influence and communication
