Founding Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Founding Analytics Engineer to manage and enhance its data function.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the entire data layer, including warehouse management, dbt models, and company-wide dashboards
• Teach data literacy across the company and establish best practices for data usage
• Improve the data model and documentation to enhance trust and self-service capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a solo or early data hire, with full stack ownership
• Advanced SQL and production dbt experience, with knowledge of cloud warehouses (e.g., BigQuery)
• Strong business instincts to translate ambiguous questions into clear data models
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments with high-volume sales funnels
• AI-native approach to data work, utilizing AI tools for efficiency
