Founding CTO for Healthcare Startup

Job Summary

As a hands-on engineering leader, the Founding CTO for a Healthcare Startup will work remotely to scale and enhance a women's health intelligence platform, focusing on evolving the backend infrastructure, developing data integration pipelines, and implementing AI-powered features while ensuring security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a live product by improving its reliability and capabilities based on user feedback
• Architect and deepen the health intelligence engine to synthesize diverse health data into actionable insights
• Develop and extend robust data integration pipelines while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and data security standards

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in building complex products
• Strong backend and infrastructure expertise, particularly in system architecture and APIs
• Experience with health data integrations and familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience in AI/ML implementations, including conversational AI and predictive models
