Founding Engineer

Job Summary

Joining as a Founding Engineer, the remote role offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on generalist engineer to build the technical foundation of a new company from scratch, collaborating closely with the founding CEO to define architecture, ship the initial product, and establish engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Technical Foundation: Build the first version of the product end-to-end from initial architecture decisions through shipping to real customers
• Partner Directly with the Founding CEO: Collaborate with leadership to set the technical direction and roadmap while engaging with customers
• Establish Engineering Culture and Tooling: Develop the technical foundations, tooling, and engineering practices for future scalability

Required Qualifications

• Strong generalist engineering experience with a track record of building and shipping real products, preferably as an early engineering hire at a startup
• Ability to move fluidly across the tech stack and execute projects effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to ownership and customer engagement
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity
