Founding Product Designer

Job Summary

As the first full-time designer, the Founding Product Designer will own end-to-end product design for a developer-facing compute platform, enhance the design system, and improve the developer experience, all while working remotely in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end product design from research to implementation, collaborating with engineers throughout the process
• Develop and mature the existing design system, focusing on creating components and patterns for data-rich interfaces
• Establish design direction, including visual language and interaction patterns, while running design critiques and planning for future team growth

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing software, particularly in developer tools, infrastructure, or technical B2B products
• A portfolio showcasing dense, data-rich user interfaces tailored for expert users
• Experience in building or significantly contributing to design systems
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations, moving from concept to high-fidelity product quickly
• Experience with cloud consoles or observability tools is a plus
