Fractional Chief Information Security Officer

Job Summary

Serving as the senior information security and compliance leader, the full-time remote Fractional Chief Information Security Officer will manage cybersecurity and compliance programs for multiple client organizations while overseeing SGP's internal security initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the outsourced CISO for various client organizations, providing strategic security leadership and guidance
• Lead compliance programs aligned with industry standards such as NIST SP 800-171 and ISO/IEC 27001, conducting assessments and developing necessary documentation
• Oversee incident response planning and security operations, while delivering executive reporting and coordinating security awareness training

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 8 years of information security experience, including senior leadership roles such as Security Director or CISO
• Hands-on expertise with compliance frameworks including NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and ISO/IEC 27001
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and produce strong technical documentation
• Relevant industry certifications are strongly preferred, though not required
