Fractional General Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing multi-state law firm, the part-time Fractional General Counsel will serve as a strategic legal advisor to executive leadership, overseeing legal and regulatory aspects of business operations, including multi-state expansion and compliance, in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on strategic expansion into new states and manage compliance requirements
• Draft and maintain employee handbooks and develop HR policies
• Provide guidance on legal and regulatory matters, conducting risk assessments and monitoring regulatory changes

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with an active bar license in good standing
• 7+ years of experience in corporate, employment, compliance, or as a general counsel
• Experience supporting multi-state business operations, particularly in New York, Ohio, Florida, and Massachusetts
• Prior experience managing business and compliance matters in a law firm or professional services organization is preferred
• Strong executive presence and business judgment
