Job Summary
To support clients in the alternative investment industry, the remote Fractional Director of Operations will provide expert advisory services, leveraging extensive experience in managing operations for alternative asset firms and family offices on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management of operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while overseeing trade lifecycle activities
- Develop and implement action plans, evaluate client progress through KPIs, and advise on vendor selection and oversight
- Act as a subject matter expert on fund accounting and performance, ensuring effective communication with vendors and service providers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- 10+ years of experience as a Director of Operations in an alternative asset firm or family office
- Strong knowledge of multiple asset classes, financial instruments, and capital markets
- Extensive knowledge of investment management technology, including fund accounting software and reconciliation programs
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
