Fractional Research Analyst

Job Summary

Consulting with alternative asset firms and family offices, the remote Fractional Research Analyst will provide expert advice on investment research frameworks, design due diligence processes, and develop financial modeling tools on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on investment research methodologies and frameworks for evaluating opportunities across markets
• Design and implement manager due diligence frameworks and standardized assessment criteria
• Develop financial modeling templates and tools for client investment teams, including DCF and LBO models

Required qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CFA designation preferred
• 8+ years of specific research experience with 5-8 years of investment experience preferred
• Strong financial acumen with advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
• Proficiency in relevant software programs, including Morningstar Direct, Microsoft Office, and Bloomberg
• Experience in a role requiring creative analysis and comfort with ambiguity
