Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time Fraud Investigator will monitor and research risk signals for customers and merchants, conduct investigations into suspicious behaviors, and manage fraud claims, with the flexibility to work remotely or from designated office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Identify systemic patterns in suspicious customer and merchant behavior and conduct investigations
- Review and evaluate all new merchant partners during onboarding to ensure compliance with licensing requirements
- Manage inbound fraud claims and perform ad hoc research into uncommon scenarios indicating potential fraud
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience in fraud detection, investigation, or related financial services
- Strong pattern recognition skills and a commitment to quality, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Ability to conduct thorough research using multiple data sources
- Experience documenting processes, procedures, and investigation findings
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
