Job Summary
To support fraud detection and prevention efforts, the full-time Fraud Investigator will analyze fraud cases, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and conduct customer outreach to verify transaction legitimacy while working in a hybrid schedule from Baltimore, MD.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and document investigational evidence to assess and make decisions on fraud cases
- Conduct outbound calls to customers to verify transaction legitimacy and gather additional information
- Analyze fraud patterns and escalate high-risk cases with well-documented findings and recommendations
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial services or investigations/law enforcement
- Some college preferred or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with basic office software, including MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of financial products and investigative procedures
- Understanding of government/regulatory statutes related to financial services and fraud
