Freelance 2D Background Artist

Job Summary

To support animation projects for multiple YouTube channels, the contracted Freelance 2D Background Artist will finalize environments and background props while maintaining an organized workflow in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Finalize approximately 25 environments and background props per week for production use
• Maintain an organized and efficient workflow to meet daily quotas during the production week
• Adapt to various artistic styles as required by different animation projects

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Procreate
• Strong understanding of composition, perspective, color theory, light, and form
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Portfolio showcasing relevant work is required for consideration
• Experience with Toon Boom is a plus but not mandatory
