Freelance Clinical Research Associate

Job Summary

To support a major clinical trial across 15+ US sites, the freelance Clinical Research Associate will manage end-to-end site lifecycle support, focusing on remote monitoring while preparing for and conducting site visits and reporting, all within a temporary remote role.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for site lifecycle support, leading monitoring according to trial protocols
• Coordinate and autonomously manage monitoring activities, advising Trial Managers on process improvements
• Collaborate with tech and product teams to enhance the Citrus trial monitoring platform based on customer needs

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of independent site monitoring experience across all visit types
• Experience with Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT) and central monitoring approaches
• Strong working knowledge of GCP/GDP and clinical trial regulations
• Ability to develop and implement risk-proportionate monitoring plans
• Experience in startup or early-stage environments is advantageous
