Job Summary

Experienced in marketing and entertainment content, the Freelance Creative Translator will deliver high-quality transcreation and translation from Indonesian into English while working remotely as an independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality transcreation, translation, and cultural adaptation for marketing and multimedia creative content
• Collaborate with internal and linguistic teams to ensure quality output across various platforms
• Conduct cultural and market research to accurately capture brand tone and nuances, avoiding literal translation pitfalls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Marketing, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in marketing translation and creative transcreation
• Native-level fluency in English (US) and professional-grade comprehension of Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia)
• Proven ability to adapt tone, style, and voice across diverse brand guidelines and multimedia formats
• Familiarity with modern CAT tools and localization workflows
