Freelance Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Freelance Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain complex data processing systems, ensuring data integrity and optimizing pipelines while mentoring junior team members and troubleshooting data issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and upgrade existing DPL projects, assist with technical data issues, and create flow diagrams to support projects
• Provide mentorship for junior team members and identify optimization opportunities for data solutions
• Deliver new and expanded solutions based on clear client briefs, ensuring accurate project deadlines and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP, and familiarity with AWS and Azure
• Proven ability to independently manage end-to-end data pipeline processes
• Strong experience in creating and troubleshooting dashboards for clients
