Freelance Data Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a Freelance Data Specialist with expertise in SQL and Python, this remote contract position will focus on database discovery and mapping, architecture documentation, and advanced report development to support organizational decision-making using the WellSky platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze the WellSky platform's schema, identifying primary/foreign keys and mapping relationships between clients, caregivers, services, and demographic data
• Create comprehensive Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and a functional Data Dictionary for internal use
• Develop complex SQL queries to extract accurate datasets and automate data processes using Python

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced SQL and Python experience, including writing complex queries and building data scripts
• Proven experience in reverse-engineering databases and creating ERDs using tools like Lucidchart or Visio
• Prior experience with EHR, EMR, or case management platforms, with a preference for familiarity with the WellSky platform
• Ability to translate non-technical business needs into technical database requirements
• Understanding of best practices for handling sensitive healthcare data and PII
